Dr. Atkinson earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1990 from Life University in Marietta, Georgia and joined Fiorini Chiropractic Center in 1994, after working as an associate doctor in Jacksonville for 3 1/2 years.

Dr. Atkinson has advanced training in conservative treatment of the spine and extremities including the Atlas Orthogonal treatment of craniocervical (upper neck) misalignments.  He has also done advanced study in sports related injuries, as well as motor vehicle crash treatments and rehabilitation.

Although every patient that gets care at Fiorini Chiropractic is special, his favorite type of patient care is helping those who suffer from chronic headaches.  The Atlas Orthogonal treatment is very effective in managing chronic headaches, even typically resistant migraine types.

Dr. Atkinson is the co-author of 3 books on neck pain and wellness. 

On the personal side...
He was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida.  While in chiropractic school, he met his beautiful wife, Donna.  They have two amazing children, Cora and Mitchell.  His interests outside of chiropractic include running, jet-skiing, and model airplane flying.  He's completed many half marathons, as well as two full marathons.  Dr. Atkinson and his wife enjoy taking care of their property, as well as adjacent family owned property in Crawfordville.  They are members of and regularly attend worship services with Oyster Bay Church of Christ.  Dr. Atkinson oftens assist with worship services there, including preaching once or twice per month.
